Neumünster Abbey’s (neimënster) young audience programme, the minimënster, will host the fourth edition of the Big Bang Festival on Sunday 12 May 2024 from 11:00 in Luxembourg-Grund.

This programme by neimënster and the Zonzo company brings together colourful characters who will transform the site into a gigantic discovery and playground for children (aged five and older) for a day.

Created by Wouter van Looy and the Belgian Zonzo company, the Big Bang Festival invades nineteen cultural centres throughout Europe and Canada each year..

The Zonzo company members are known for imagining and creating innovative numbers for young audiences from scratch, where music is at the heart of the shows. For the Big Bang Festival, the company invites artists – musicians, filmmakers, videographers – to develop worlds that are sometimes original, sometimes poetic, through interactive shows, visual concerts or intriguing sound installations.

These musical creations tour all over the world and receive recognition from the public and professionals for their pioneering and original character.

The programme (subject to schedule changes) will feature, among others:

  • the basketball players of Bamako (based on traditional Malian dances, basketball practice and musical juggling)
  • chronophone (a world of sounds and noises hidden somewhere on the borders of time and space becomes available through a magical instrument)
  • hop frog marching band
  • and many more...

Tickets cost €15, €9 (reduced fee) or €1.50 with a Kulturpass. The programme remains subject to last-minute schedule changes.
