On Thursday 20 September 2018, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy, Étienne Schneider, inaugurated a bridge connecting the Eurohub Sud logistics park to the rail / road intermodal terminal.

This bridge is one of the infrastructures set up to ensure smooth road traffic around the Eurohub South site. Thanks to the new viaduct and the interchange at Burange / Dudelange, semi-trailers can access directly from the motorway network to the Eurohub South via two separate accesses from the A3 and the A13 without having to cross the neighbouring localities.

The projects currently completed and announced on the site of Eurohub South represent 150,000 m2 of logistics space and will occupy about 800 people on the site. In total, since 2013, around 250,000 m2 of logistics space have been built or are under construction in Luxembourg, which corresponds to the surface of more than 35 football pitches and represents an investment of around €250 million from the companies concerned.

During the official ceremony, the companies WDP Luxembourg and Arthur Welter Logistics each presented their development projects on the site of the Eurohub South.
WDP Luxembourg has announced the construction of its third 25,000 m2 logistics building on the Eurohub Sud site and the finalisation of its second logistics building of the same size, which will now be rented by the Auchan group to install its logistics infrastructure on 20,000 m² and by the robotics company Innovation First for an area of 5,000 m². The first logistics building of 25,000 m² owned by WDP Luxembourg, 55% owned by WDP and 45% owned by the Luxembourg State, is currently mainly occupied by the Ampacet European logistics centre.

The Arthur Welter group has announced the establishment of its new company Arthur Welter Logistics on the site of Eurohub South. The company will build a 25,000 m2 building which will be the headquarters of the new entity and will include offices and a logistics hall for warehousing, order preparation and regional distribution of goods.

This €20 million investment will create 50 new jobs and is part of the company's sustainable development strategy initiated by the Welter family more than 50 years ago.

Minister Schneider said "Investments in infrastructure to develop the logistics sector in Luxembourg are paying off. They enable us to attract international companies that serve their European customers from Luxembourg and contribute to the development of the activities and skills of the national logistics players."
