Kuehne + Nagel in Geel, Belgium;

Kuehne + Nagel has announced that it has expanded its logistics facility in Geel, Belgium; with the extension, Kuehne + Nagel will offer an expanded service portfolio especially to customers from the FMCG and pharma and healtchcare industries.

After the extension, the warehouse and handling space comprises 77,000 m2 compared to 45,000 m2 when the logistics centre came into operation in 2006. The new complex is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including ESFR sprinklers and a built-in emergency power supply system; goods can be stored up to 12.2 metres high. It complies with strictest security and environmental requirements, is LEED silver standard and TAPA C certified.

At its Geel logistics center Kuehne + Nagel handles end-to-end solutions for major international customers from different industries. The facility serves both as a European and global distribution centre hub. Kuehne + Nagel is providing the full range of value added services next to storage, pick & pack and return activities especially for customers from the FMCG
industry.

The new building includes a dedicated and protected pharma zone which is part of Kuehne + Nagel KN PharmaChain. KN PharmaChain is a global multi-modal logistics solution for temperature-controlled door-to-door transportation which allows accurate traceability of the deliveries and intensive, proactive risk management.
