Luxair to Purchase 2 Additional Boeing 737-8

On Friday 28 April 2023, Luxair's Board of Directors confirmed the purchase of two additional Boeing 737-8 aircraft, to supplement the two Boeing 737-8 purchased in March 2023.

Luxair reported that it had secured an immediate fleet increase based on two Boeing 737-8 aircraft under a leasing agreement, scheduled to enter into service in the summer of 2023 and to be operated until 2027, by Luxair crews. These aircraft will supplement the two Boeing 737-8 purchased in March 2023, bringing Luxair’s total number of firm orders for the Boeing 737-8 to four.

According to Luxair, the Boeing 737-8 has a spacious cabin, improved seating comfort, greater seat spacing of about 80 cm and larger overhead bins to accommodate more cabin baggage. With these modern and fuel-efficient aircraft, Luxair said it expects to be able to offer more comfortable flights and expand its network of destinations.
