On Thursday 9 July 2015, the 'Prix Rolf Tarrach 2015' will be awarded by Erna Hennicot-Schoepges, President of the NPO 'Les Amis de l'Université du Luxembourg' at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
The award is designed as a recognition for the holder of a doctoral thesis which helps promote the university through its contribution of scientific excellence and through the innovative nature of the work. The winner is selected among the best theses offered by the three faculties of the University.
This year's winner was Dr. Valentina Covolo, who stood out from the crowd with her thesis entitle 'The Emergence of a Criminal Network. Critical Analysis of the European System of Fraud Prevention".
The prize amount of €10,000 was financed by the Private Bank Company 'QUILVEST' and the Fondation Luis Portabella y Conte Lacoste, and will be awarded to Dr. Covol at the official presentation this Thursday.
