On Monday 4 September 2023, Luxair announced it is launching a new edition of the Pilot Cadet Programme, recruiting cadets to begin their pilot training in early 2024.

The Pilot Cadet Programme that Luxair proposes is a mix of classroom teaching and simulator training before arriving at the practical and real flight experience necessary to one day become the Luxair pilots of tomorrow.

The training takes a year and a half, and aims to equip future pilots with the crucial skills and knowledge to operate aircraft in a safe and professional manner.

Luxair is looking for people “eager to learn and with a positive attitude” and applications, accessible via this link, will remain open until 15 October 2023. The selected candidates’ training, pre-financed by Luxair, will begin in 2024 and will extend over a period of around eighteen months.

Luxair noted that while being a professional pilot may have the best view in the world, this career is not limited to the pleasure of flying. It requires leadership skills, decision-making and prioritising public safety.
