On Friday 5 October 2018, the cabinet of the Luxembourg Government approved a new law concerning the renovation and compliance of the Mondorf Domaine Thermal complex.

The project for the renovation and upgrading of the Mondorf Domaine Thermal includes the existing complex of the hotel and the baths and a new Annex building. A renovation of the complex, rooves, facades and frames and two thermal pools, which have seriously deteriorated by acidic thermal water, is required.

The development of the needs and the diversification of the activities of the Mondorf Domaine Thermal leads to the renovation and modernisation of the various departments, as well as an increase of the surface areas of some of them.

These renovations will not only benefit the guests and customers of the Domaine Thermal, but they will also contribute to the overall attractiveness of Luxembourg in the Greater Region with its diversified and unique offer.

The expenses to be authorised by the Chamber of Deputies by the vote of the present draft bill and at the expense of the State are estimated at €133,500,000.

The operation of the Domaine Thermal will be continued during the duration of the works.
