The Observatoire de la Formation has revealed statistics for the training of private sector companies and employees in 2015, namely that employees attended, on average, five courses lasting 5.0 hours.

Men were found to have followed more training than women with the former undertaking an average of 5.1 hours and the latter 4.8 hours. Furthermore, executives and managers were found to have participated in more training courses- 7.2 and 7.0 hours respectively- than skilled and unskilled employees- 5.1 and 2.5 hours on average.

During the period analysed, companies that solicited financial participation from the State for the financing of the training plan devoted 2.4% of their payroll to training. The "Technical / Trades" and "Workplace Adaptation" areas alone account for 54% of the direct investment in business training and 60% of all training hours monitored. Trainings cost, on average, €53 per hour and €263 per participant.
