Delegates of the trade union Aleba today ratified the new Collective Agreement for banking employees in Luxembourg.

This Monday 9 July 2018 ended the period during which the Aleba Assembly of Delegates was, by statute, invited to take a decision on the new Collective Agreement for Bank Employees. At 97.1%, the ALEBA Staff Delegates overwhelmingly answered "yes" to the question put to them, ie "do you support the agreement in principle concerning the new Collective Agreement for Employees of the Banks 2018-2020? "

The main changes were also provided to the Deputies, based on the agreement in principle signed between the unions and the ABBL at the end of May.

"There is therefore no more obstacle for the Aleba to sign the new collective agreement for bank employees, scheduled for the morning of Thursday 12 July," commented Gilles Steichen, Vice President of Aleba and lead negotiator for this new agreement. "For more than 18 months, we have been sparing no effort to conclude a modern and simplified Collective Labour Agreement with the ABBL, but above all one of quality and in line with both our legitimate trade union demands and current and future issues."
