The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced the dates of upcoming awareness-raising "Dinners in the Dark".
As part of the Special Needs Awareness Weeks, VdL and various catering establishments in the capital are offering dinners in the dark, during which participants are guided by visually impaired people. These will take place from 19:00 to 22:00 on:
- Thursday 18 April 2024 at Aka Cité (3 Rue Genistre, L-1623 Ville Haute)
- Thursday 23 May 2024 at Aqua by Meliã (1 Park Drai Eechelen, L-1499 Clausen)
- Tuesday 11 June 2024 at Porta Nova (14 Avenue de la Faïencerie, L-1510 Limpertsberg)
- Thursday 27 June 2024 at La Locanda (121 Route de Thionville, L-2611 Bonnevoie)
- Tuesday 9 July 2024 at Aka Cité (see above)
- Thursday 26 September 2024: La Locanda (see above)
- Thursday 24 October 2024: Aqua by Meliã (see above)
- Thursday 14 November 2024: Porta Nova (see above)
The price is €45 per menu excluding drinks (meat, fish and vegetarian menus to choose from). Places are limited and reservation is required no later than eight days before the event, via tel.: 4796-4150 or via email: integratioun@vdl.lu.
Participants are asked to be punctual.
Through the Special Needs Awareness Weeks, VdL and its partners aim to raise public awareness, encourage dialogue with the people concerned and thus promote better "living together" based on mutual understanding.
