Details:

Bee Together Luxembourg has announced that on Saturday, 24 March 2018 from 10:00 to 12:00, Bee Together will be helping natur&ëmwelt and the City Park Services to plant vegetation in one of the city’s parks to increase the flora biodiversity and the variety of food sources available for solitary bees.

An explanation of the importance of the work will be given at the event.

Those attending are asked to come dressed with clothes appropriate for the weather conditions and footwear, ideally boots, with a good grip. Children, accompanied by a parent, are welcome to join.
Gloves and tools will be provided. Please let the organisers know beforehand if you will join us for soup after the planting effort.

Please register (http://bit.ly/2FpYCDu) on or before Thursday 22 March. Details of the meeting location will be sent to those who register. If the weather conditions are unfavourable, those registered will be informed by email of the event’s cancellation.

One thing that people can do for wild solitary bees and pollinators is to use pesticide-free plants in your garden that you can purchase from one of the producers/suppliers listed in the brochure "The Importance of Pesticide-Free Flowers and Ornamental Plants". On the Ouni Pestiziden page, you can find a list of the latin and German names of the plants sold by each supplier.

Bee Together Luxembourg is a group of people interested in (a) Organising events to visit beehives to learn about the importance of bees, the bee’s lifecycle and beekeeping; (b) Organising events to learn about wild bees, pollinators and biodiversity; and (c) Encouraging people to learn together;
