Luxembourg's Arabic Association for Cultural Exchange (AACE) has announced that it is organising a conference entitled "Toxic Ground" with Lebanese architect Bernard Khoury in collaboration with LUCA, Luxembourg Centre for Architecture, on Thursday 25 October 2018 at 18:30 at the Auditorium du Carré (1 rue de l'Aciérie, Luxembourg-Hollerich).

The presentation runs under the title ‘Toxic Grounds’ and is part of AACE’s programme ‘101 Arabian Nights’. 

Born in 1968 in Beirut, Bernard Khoury studied architecture at the Rhode Island school of Design and received his Master in Architectural Studies from Harvard University in 1993. He started his independent practice in the same year. His office has developed an international reputation and a significant diverse portfolio of projects both locally and internationally. Teaching as a professor in Lausanne, Paris and Beirut, he is giving conferences in Europe, USA and Middle East. He transposes his philosophy through his architectural creations and his exhibitions throughout the world.  Bernard Khoury is co-founder of the Arab Center for Architecture.

The program ‘101 Arabian Nights’ has been developed with the financial support of Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte (mateneen call for projects).

The conference will be in French with simultaneous translation in English and Arabic language.
