ABBL - Payment systems and IT information

Wednesday 24 October 2012, 13:30 - 16:00

Details: The ABBL is organising a series of meetings to inform companies and traders on the new European schemas for banking domiciliation, the single European Payment Area (SEPA).

The implementation of the Single European Payments Area (SEPA) not only affects banks but also customers and especially businesses and shops. Creditors offering customers the convenience of paying their bills using direct debit must be prepared to migrate to new patterns of European direct debits (SEPA Direct Debit) as is required by the new European regulations.

As a result, the Luxembourg Association of Banks and Bankers (ABBL) is organising information sessions about the gradual replacement of national debit (DOM2009) by European SEPA Direct Debit (SDD).
During these events, ABBL and bank representatives will present details of the SEPA project, including the advantages and challenges of SDD and the various alternatives that are available.

The event is being held on four separate occasions:
•         28 August from 13:30 - 16:00
•         27 September from 13:30 - 16:00
•         24 October from 13:30 - 16:00
