Details: he general public seems to be interested in new sciences, at least in the techno-industrial uses that are made of scientific research. What are their expectations in terms of knowledge of science and technology? Why and how to communicate science to the general public? What are the characteristics of this twenty-first century of communication? These issues will be discussed at the next Sciences Thursday with the theme "Communicating science to the public."
Patrick Baranger, after obtaining a philosophy and mathematical logic degrees, teaches philosophy and science education at the University of Lorraine. He led a University Institute of Teacher Training and assured a position at the University of Lorraine. He is the president of Network Culture Hubert Curien for scientific, technical and industrial Lorraine. The conference will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 17:30 pm in the Campus Auditorium B02 Kircherg 6, rue Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi, L-1359 Luxembourg.
