Details:

In the draw for inaugural edition of new UEFA competition, the Nations League, Luxembourg were drawn against Belarus, Moldova and San Marino in League D, Group 2.

Luc Holtz’s side will face their rivals home and away during September, October and November with the group winners winning promotion to the League C of the new competition the next time it is run.

In League D, the top four ranked teams that do not qualify for UEFA EURO 2020 will enter a play-off in March 2020, with one finals place on offer.

As of January 2018, Luxembourg were currently ranked #84 in the FIFA rankings, with Belarus #93, Moldova #166 and San Marino #204 out of a total of 211 national teams.
