Utopia SA (a founding member) and Europa Cinemas is currently presenting the 6th edition of “28 Times Cinema” and is offering to send one person aged 18-25 years to the Venice Film Days in September, to spend 13 days as part of the Jury.

Launched in 2010 in partnership with the European Parliament, the LUX Prize and the Venice Days (Giornate Degli Autori), this initiative enables 28 young moviegoers (one participant per Member State of the European Union) to participate at the next edition of the Venice Film Festival (1 - 12 September 2015).

Utopia SA forwards the three best candidates to Europa Cinema. The final selection will be made by Europa Cinema, who will nominate the happy winner who will represent Luxembourg during the Venice Days.

Successful participants will be invited to spend 13 days at the Festival to be part of the Venice Days’ Jury and to watch the films that will be competing for the 2015 LUX Prize edition. They will also get to participate in meetings with film professionals, share their ideas and opinions during debates with filmmakers and other guests in attendance. Europa Cinemas will organize and cover the costs of accommodation and travel for each participant for the whole duration of the event. The arrival date is expected to be Tuesday 1 September and the departure date Sunday 13 September 2015.

Conditions:
• They must be aged 18 - 25 years of age with a good knowledge of English (reading, written and spoken) in order to be able to actively take part in the discussions around the films.
• Potential applicants need to send:
 o A brief CV (in English);
 o A short statement outlining the reasons why they should be considered for this opportunity (10 lines max.);
 o A brief statement about what would be the most important things to consider as a Jury member when watching a film (innovation, emotion, quality of the filmmaking, quality of the script) (10 lines max.);
 o A description of 3 scenes from 3 films they have watched recently (5 sentences max. per film);
 o A short review of a film distributed in your country within the last year (10 lines max.);

The selected participants will get a Festival Accreditation giving priority access to screenings. They have to commit to:
• Being present in Venice from Tuesday 1 to Sunday 13 September;
• Watching all the films presented at the Venice Days (approx. 15).
• Fulfilling their Jury duties;
• Taking part in the round tables discussions and debates with filmmakers.
