The Anglican Church in Luxembourg has announced that it will hold its traditional service of Harvest Thanksgiving on Sunday 25 September at 11:00 at the Konvikt Centre on Avenue Marie-Therese in Luxembourg city centre.

The Family Service will include a Harvest Thanksgiving where members of the congregation are invited you to bring gifts of foodstuffs, either non-perishable items in tins, bottles or packets or, if you have a garden or access to a fresh food market, fresh fruit or vegetables. The following items are particularly useful and appreciated: tea, UHT milk, ground coffee, biscuits, biscottes/toast, sugar, jam, honey (small jars preferably), tinned vegetables, stock cubes, rice, pasta (normal and gluten free), sachets of powdered/instant soup, small bottles of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and packs of fruit juice (from concentrate).

The gifts will go to ATD Quart Monde (www.atdquartmonde.lu) which offers practical help to families in need in Luxembourg.

The 11:00 service will be followed by a Harvest Thanksgiving Pot Luck Lunch downstairs in the Salle Maria Rheinsheim, starting at 13:00. Those wishing to attend should e-mail Moira Hogg at mhogg@pt.lu by Wednesday 21 September, indicating what type of dish (savoury or sweet) you will be bringing to share, in order to ensure a good variety. Please also bring a bottle of wine/water/carton of juice to share. All are welcome.
