Applications are now open for the European Microfinance for Housing Award 2017, the prize of which is €100,000.

The European Microfinance Network, who operates the European Microfinance Award and is run out of Luxembourg by ADA, has launched a call for applications for this year’s Microfinance for Housing Award.

The 2017 Award "Microfinance for Housing" is intended to highlight the role of microfinance in supporting access to better quality residential housing for low income, vulnerable and excluded groups, with no or limited access to housing finance in the mainstream sector. It aims to recognise institutions that respond to the complex housing needs of their target clients by providing them with a variety of financial and non-financial services.

The €100,000 prize will be awarded to the winner on 30 November 2017 during European Microfinance Week.

All applications must be supported in writing by an e-MFP member. The closing date for applications is 22 May 2017 at 23:59 CET.

The European Microfinance Award is granted by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs – Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs and is jointly organised by the Ministry, the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP) and the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe.lu).
