Casino Luxembourg – Contemporary Art Forum is currently presenting an exhibition by Mary-Audrey Ramirez, Forced Amnesia, which will be on display until 28 April 2024.

The exhibition Forced Amnesia, co-produced with the Kunsthalle Gießen where it was presented in spring 2023, and curated by Dr Nadia Ismail and Kevin Muhlen, brings together recent works and new productions by the Luxembourg-born artist Mary-Audrey Ramirez.

Digital techniques and video game-inspired creatures are at the centre of Mary-Audrey Ramirez' work. Reflections on the contrasts between imagination and reality and the intrusive omnipresence of digital technology in our daily lives define the artist's creative universe.

Her installations, often imbued with apocalyptic beauty and a touch of subtle humour, come from the world of video games. Moreover, for her exhibition at the Casino Luxembourg, Mary-Audrey Ramirez designed a video game which is an integral part of her work and pushes the encounter between fiction and reality even further.
