The Czech Embassy in Luxembourg has announced that the Severáček children's choir is returning to the Grand Duchy for an open-air concert on Monday 29 April 2024.

The concert will take place in Place d'Armes in Luxembourg-Ville, starting at 13:30.

Two years ago, the Czech Embassy in Luxembourg hosted an exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of Operation Anthropoid and the Lidice and Ležáky massacres.

As the Czech Ambassador to Luxembourg, Vladimír Bärtl, recalled, those who joined this event remember a "powerful cultural experience", thanks to the Severáček choir from Liberec (Czechia) who performed "Requiem for Lidice" and other songs, "enhancing the memory of the heroism of the soldiers and civilians who gave their lives in the unique action to remove the tyrant [Reinhard] Heydrich, the architect of the Holocaust".

Now, the Liberec children's choir is returning to Luxembourg City, where they will perform various works by Czech and other European composers.
