The yearly closing event of the 1,2,3 Go programme by nyuko, held last Thursday at the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg, saw the presentation of ten selected projects who received cash prizes of up to €10,000.

The 1,2,3 Go programme has supported innovative projects in the Greater Region for the past 18 years through the organisation of events, coaching and the building of networks. Every year, the programme, which is led by the non-profit organisation nyuko in collaboration with regional partners, helps numerous projects in various different fields of activity. Supported throughout the year by the nyuko team, partners and selected experts, the project holders submitted their business plan to be evaluated in June. Those projects with the ten best marks were then invited to pitch their project in front of a jury made up of experts, partners and sponsors. Four projects were chosen to receive higher prizes.

Guylaine Hanus, representing the Chamber of Commerce, opened the event before presenting the ten selected projects to the audience via promotional videos. The “sponsors’ darling” prize was awarded to Ghostbuster, a german startup working on security equipment for highways. The project K|Lens, developing innovative lenses for the fields of video- and photography, came in third place; Heimrich, offering an intelligent personal assistant, in second; and the first prize was awarded to Baukobox for their web platform aiming to simplify and facilitate the workload of architects. The projects are owned by both professionals and passionate amateurs.

Marius Kleber, co-founder of the startup Heimrich, commented on the programme and their achievements: “We are a startup with roots in Germany and Luxembourg, so nyuko and the 1,2,3 Go programme offered us excellent opportunities in terms of networking and support. This collaboration was ideal for our launch in the Greater Region.”
