On Friday 8 March 2024, CapitalatWork Foyer Group announced it won several awards at the LSEG Lipper Fund Awards ceremony in London, which took place on the evening of Tuesday 5 March 2024.

The awards included a European Fund Award Trophy for the three-year Dynamic fund, three European Fund Award Certificates for the three mixed funds, Dynamic, Balanced and Defensive, with five- and ten-year maturities. Additionally, the group earned a European Group Award Trophy for the Mixed Asset Management Firm-small size category. This last recognition is “extraordinary” for an independent investment company operating in the Benelux, the group added.

According to CapitalatWork its investment strategy is consistently based on a “contrarian approach”. "There is no secret behind our success. It's a combination of proper preparation, dedication, and hard work", said Erwin Deseyn, Chief Investment Officer at CapitalatWork.

Maarten Rooijakkers, CEO CapitalatWork Foyer Group said: "We are very proud of the achievements and accomplishments of all our employees. They contribute to providing the high-quality service that our customers deserve. We would particularly like to pay tribute to our asset management team, who go the extra mile every day to ensure thorough in-house analysis of all the companies we invest in. [...]The Niche Asset Manager award is a great reward for all the hard work put in by our team!”

Erwin Deseyn added: "There are no secrets, but I can think of a number of reasons why our investments have performed so well. Consistency is the common thread. Our investment strategy has not changed in the 33 years of our existence. Our philosophy has never deviated.

CapitalatWork explained that, since 1990, it has used an investment strategy based on three pillars: asset allocation, investment selection and active management. This strategy focuses on rapid and flexible adjustments to asset allocation and investment selection to seize opportunities and avoid risks. The company stressed it only invests in items that can be well understood, such as listed corporate bonds, listed government bonds and listed equities. Its in-house team of analysts focuses primarily on free cash flow and company valuation when selecting promising equities and corporate bonds.

Pierre-Henry Oger, head of portfolio management in Luxembourg, emphasised that "strict adherence to our investment strategy has paid off".
