The natur&ëmwelt Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur foundation has been presented with a cheque for €14,381 from Castus supermarkets following sales of it Bio Naturbrout bread.
For every loaf of "Bio Naturbrout" bread sold, Cactus pledged to donate ten cents to the foundation to support a nature protection project, with the money collected in 2018 going to save the green tree frog, an endangered frog.
In 2018, Cactus presented the "Cactus Weier & Dëmpel" initiative with the natur&ëmwelt Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur foundation. The project concerns an area of about 1,500 m², located in Mensdorf, home to a large number of amphibians in dense vegetation.
Since 2010, the proceeds from sale of Bio Naturbrout has raised €134,943 for the foundation, supporting different projects for the survival of biodiversity and threatened animal species.
