On Tuesday 20 June 2023, Europe's governing football body, UEFA, made the draws for initial rounds of both the Champions League and the Conference League, in Nyon, Switzerland.

In the UEFA Champions League, the lunchtime draw saw Luxembourg's Swift Hesper drawn against Slovakia's Slovan Bratislava in the preliminary qualifying round which consists of four teams playing one-leg semi-finals and then a final later this month. The two-legged first qualifying round ties will take place on 11/12 and 18/19 July. Winners progress to the second qualifying round draw, while defeated sides go through to the UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round (Champions Path).

In the UEFA Conference League draw, Luxembourg's F91 Diddeleng (Dudelange) will take on St Patrick's Athletic from the Republic of Ireland in the first round (Group 6), and Progrès Niederkorn will play Gjilani from Kosovo in Group 3. The two-legged first qualifying round ties will take place on 13 and 20 July. The second round draws will be made by UEFA today, Wednesday 21 June 2023.
