The draw has taken place in Paris, France, for the UEFA Nations League 2024/25, with Luxembourg's Red Lions being drawn in Group C3 alongside Bulgaria, Northern Ireland and Belarus.

Luxembourg's senior men's national football team performed well in the third edition of the UEFA Nations League in 2022/23 when they finished second to Turkey in Group C1, and above the Faroe Islands and Lithuania, thus helping them to a play-off spot for the UEFA EURO 2024 finals being held in Germany this year.

This time round, in the fourth edition of the UEFA Nations League, Luxembourg (ranked #83 in the FIFA world rankings) will face Bulgaria (ranked #81 and who finished 2nd in Group C4 in 2022/23), Northern Ireland (ranked #72 and who finished 3rd in Group C2 in 2022/23) and Belarus (ranked #95 and who finished 4th and last in Group C3 in 2022/23).

A total of 54 UEFA member associations are participating in the league phase which has been divided into four leagues, each with four groups (Group D just has two groups).

The league phase games will be played in autumn 2024, with the finals (to be staged by one of the four nations that qualify) set to take place in June 2025; following a new knockout round to be played in March 2025.
