FEDIL Catering, OGB-L and LCGB have recently signed the first sectoral collective agreement for collective catering companies after 20 years of discussions and three years of negotiations.

FEDIL Catering is a sectoral association of FEDIL – The Voice of Luxembourg’s Industry and brings together the companies Aramark, CR Services, Dussmann, Eurest and Sodexo. The sectoral collective agreement provides, among other things:

- a linear salary increase of 0.8% per month from 1 January 2025 and 0.7% per month from 1 January 2026 for all employees receiving a gross monthly salary between the minimum social salary for unqualified employees and the minimum social wage for qualified employees;
- an adjustment of salaries between the minimum social wage for unskilled employees and the minimum social wage for qualified employees during an adjustment of the minimum social wage for unskilled employees decided by the Luxembourg government;
- one additional day of leave for employees with ten years of continuous service;
- the possibility of an annual reference period in terms of working time for employees employed in structures impacted by school holidays in Luxembourg;
- free meals upon entry into service;
- payment increase of Sunday work to 70%;
- 100% increase on public holidays;
- clear rules in the event of transfer of employee employment contracts.

There are currently over 3,000 employees working in the sector whose working conditions will be improved by the agreement reached between the signatory parties. FEDIL noted that the agreement should help strengthen the attractiveness of the collective catering sector in Luxembourg.

The social partners agreed to request the declaration of the general obligation of the sectoral collective agreement from Luxembourg’s Minister of Labor, Georges Mischo, from the date of its entry into force fixed by mutual agreement on 1 May 2024. The sectoral collective agreement was concluded for three years and will then be applicable until 30 April 2027.
