Yesterday saw the launch of the national platform for online commerce "LetzShop.lu" in the Grand Duchy.

Initiated by the Ministry of the Economy, LetzShop.lu began its activity on 14 September 2018. Currently, a hundred shops are present on the site offering a total of more than 350,000 products on sale. In all, 210 retail businesses have already committed to participate in the project.

LetzShop recorded its first orders shortly after its official launch. Customers can either personally pick up in-store purchases or have their products delivered to their homes; the delivery service is free for any order placed before 30 September 2018, after which time the deliveries will be charged.

The LetzShop.lu project is part of the continuation of the Pakt PRO Commerce which aims in particular to support the development and digitisation of the urban retail trade. On the one hand, LetzShop facilitates access to the digitisation of Luxembourgish businesses by offering them a showcase and an online sales channel and on the other hand, it revitalises urban commerce by generating a passage in the shops that customers have discovered online and where they come to collect their orders.

Luxembourgish businesses that also wish to participate in the LetzShop platform (for a subscription of €500) should email: contact@letzshop.lu.

The partners of the LetzShop project are the Ministry of the Economy, the Chamber of Commerce, the Luxembourg Confederation of Commerce (CLC), the City of Luxembourg and 15 other towns and municipalities: Commune of Clervaux, City of Diekirch, City of Differdange , City of Dudelange, City of Echternach, City of Esch-sur-Alzette, City of Ettelbruck, City of Grevenmacher, municipality of Junglinster, municipality of Mersch, municipality of Mertert, municipality of Pétange, municipality of Redange / Attert, City of Remich, City of Wiltz.
