The SkodaTour de Luxembourg cycling race will kick off on 2 June 2016 at Place Guillaume II and will result in changes to traffic circulation in the city over the course of the next five days.

Prologue - Wednesday 1 June 2016

The prologue will leave at 19:00 from boulevard Roosevelt, passing along the bus route on the provisional bridge, boulevard de la Pétrusse, rue de Prague, rue St Ulric, montée du Grund, rue Large, rue de la Boucheries, rue du Marchée-aux-Herbes, rue de l'Eau and rue du Fossé before arriving before the Hôtel de Ville. The last contestant is expected to arrive at around 21:15.

During this time, the circuit will be closed to all traffic (from 18:00) and parking will be prohibited (from 14:00). Bus stops Al Avenue/A-Z, F.D Roosevelt, Hällepull, Cathédrale, Kasinosgaass and Badanstalt Quai 2 will not be served by Bus 19 during this time and a replacement stop will be set up at Hamilius Quai 1. Line 23 will not run from 18:00.

Official Start - Thursday 2 June 2016

The official start of the SkodaTour will be 13:00 at rue du Fossé. Cyclists will then pass by côte d'Eich, place Dargent, rue Augiste Laval and route d'Echternach, where the cyclists will leave the city to head towards Waldhaff.

Rue Notre-Dame (between rue de l'Ancien Athénée and rue du Fossé), rue du Fossé, rue de l'Eau and rue Sigefroi will be closed to all traffic as needed between 09:00 and 13:30.

4th Stage (Tour Finish) - Sunday 5 June 2016

Cyclists will enter the city via rue de Kopstal and will then pass rue du Rollingergrund, rue Albert Unden, avenue du Bois (section between boulevard Feltgen and rue Seimetz), rue Fresez, avenue de la Faïencerie, allée des Résistants and Déportés, rue Probst and rue du Rollingergrund. This circuit will be closed to traffic from 13:00 to 16:00 and parking will be prohibited along the aforementioned route from 12:00 to 18:00.

Rue Albert Unden, boulevard Feltgen and boulevard Pershing will be closed to all traffic between 10:00 and 18:00. Traffic will be prohibited between 07:00 and 18:00.

Meanwhile, changes to city bus lines will be implemented between 12:15 and 16:00. Between the city centre and Limpertsberg, Line 2 will be diverted via avenue du Bois - rue henri VII, with a provisional terminus along Hall Victor Hugo; Line 30 will run along boulevard Joseph II - boulevard de la Foire - avenue du Bois - rue Henri VII, temporary terminus along Hall Victor Hugo. Heading from Limpertsberg to the city centre, Lines 2 and 30 will be redirected from the temporary terminus to avenue Victor Hugo - avenue de la Porte-Neuve (line 2) and boulevard de la Foire - boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte (Line 30).

Bus stops Alen Tramsschapp, Square André, Waassertuerm, Avenir, Siggy vu Lëtzebuergy, Glacis/Nikloskierfecht, Henri VII, Ermesinde, Ketten, Barry Weber and L.T. Michel Lucius will not be served.

Line 21 will run between downtown and Eich, place Dargent, by côte d'Eich towards the Eich terminus, Centre Culturel, and vice versa. The Rollingergrund and Muhlenbach districts will not be served. Bus stops concerned: Monterey Quai, Charlys Gare, Biischtefabrik, Bei de Fiels, Beim Klomp, Val Fleuri, Val St. André, Roudebierg, Villeroy & Boch, Peiffeschbierg, Siwemuergen, Eecher Schmelz, École Eich.
