On Wednesday 17 January 2024, the Noordstroos shopping centre in Marnach announced that Burger King will open in the spring.
While it was rumoured that KFC may open an outlet there, it will in fact be Burger King that will operate it, its eighth outlet in the Grand Duchy.
Kevin Derycke, CEO of Burger Brands Belgium, explained "The arrival of Burger King in Nordstrooss is not insignificant... We already have seven restaurants in the Grand Duchy, this one is the first in the north of Luxembourg; a region still lacking in establishments of this type. It is therefore a strategic location for the development of the teaching and for local employment since we are looking for 40 people to form our team. It's also an arrival that many Luxembourgers have been waiting for for a long time, and I'm really happy about it."
Burger King is looking for 40 staff with various profiles: manager, assistant manager, crew members and shift leaders.
The crew members welcome customers "with a king-size smile", and they are active in the kitchen as well as behind the counter or in the dining area. According to the statement issued, they learn autonomy while preserving team spirit, respect for strict hygiene rules, responsibilities and customer relations.
The Shift Leaders, on the other hand, guide and support the teams of twenty crew members operationally.

A Job Day is being organised at the Nordstrooss Shopping Centre in Marnach on Thursday 25 January; those interested can visit directly on site and candidates who cannot attend can also apply online via the Burger King website.
