On the afternoon of Thursday 18 January 2024, the Grand Ducal Police reported it has been actively addressing numerous accidents, road blockages and breakdowns due to the heavy snowfall.
The police noted there have been over 60 traffic incidents from midnight to midday. While most resulted in material damage, a few involved minor injuries with individuals taken to the hospital for checks.
Furthermore, nearly 70 cases reported vehicles immobilised on snow-covered roads or road blockages. The authorities asked citizens to exercise caution and to adjust one’s driving style and speed to the current road conditions.
