On Wednesday 11 October 2023, Year 5 and 6 Primary pupils at St George's International School Luxembourg attended a preview of the documentary Inspiring Women of Luxembourg - Past, Present and Future.

Directed by Anne Schroeder, this documentary illuminates the lives of twelve women who have left their mark on the history of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The women, who come from different backgrounds and walks of life, share their personal stories, challenges and triumphs, offering viewers an insight into the hard work that went into achieving their goals.

In addition to watching the film, St George's pupils met with and interviewed five "inspiring women of Luxembourg" at the school: politician and former fencer Colette Flesch, politician and journalist Colette Mart, businesswoman and communications specialist Netty Thines, politician and dancer Sylvia Camarda and singer-songwriter Sascha Ley. The pupils presented the biographies of their guests in an assembly held in the school's Auditorium.

According to St George's, the day proved to be an "exceptionally enriching experience" for all the pupils and staff involved.
