Kultur | lx - Arts Council Luxembourg has announced that it will be coordinating a national stand, Books from Luxembourg, at the 2025 Frankfurt Book Fair, which will take place from Wednesday 15 to Sunday 19 October 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Kultur | lx has confirmed that its stand will be located in Hall 3.1 (stand F130) and said it will showcase “the vitality and diversity of the Grand Duchy’s publishing scene”.
According to the association, ten Luxembourgish publishing houses (Black Fountain Press, Capybarabooks, Éditions Guy Binsfeld, Éditions Schortgen, Ernster Éditions, Hydre Éditions, Kremart Edition, PassaParola Editions, PersPektiv Editions and Point Nemo Publishing) will present their catalogues, authors and latest releases, providing visibility for Luxembourgish publishers and fostering professional exchanges on an international scale.
Kultur | lx said that for the 2025 edition, the Books from Luxembourg stand has been completely redesigned around multilingualism, reflecting the cultural and literary identity of the country. The stand will host a networking event on Thursday 16 October from 17:00 to 18:30, providing an occasion for professionals in the sector to meet Luxembourgish publishers, discover their latest releases and explore potential collaborations.
On Friday 17 October from 17:00 to 19:30, Kultur | lx, in collaboration with Pro Helvetia, will host a discussion moderated by Samuel Hamen with authors Antoinette Rychner, Benjamin von Wyl and Emma Braslavsky, on the theme: “Speculative Futures: Small Countries, Big Visions – Speculative Literature Between Fiction, Present and Possibility.”
Kultur | lx said, “Luxembourg’s participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair reflects the richness of a pluralistic literary landscape that is constantly evolving, open to the world and engaged with the major issues of our time. Whether speculative fiction, autofiction, experimental narratives, or children’s literature, Luxembourgish voices multiply forms and languages, fully engaging with current debates on the international literary scene.”
In 2024, the Fair welcomed over 115,000 professionals from 105 countries.
