On Wednesday 9 September 2026, Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy reported on the final stage of Minister of the Economy Lex Delles' working visit to India, during which he travelled to Bangalore and participated in the ninth edition of the Bengaluru Space Expo (BSX), a major trade fair dedicated to space technologies, bringing together 300 exhibitors from 21 countries.
According to the ministry, Minister Delles met the Chairman of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) to discuss the development of the commercial space sector in India and opportunities for cooperation with Luxembourg stakeholders. He also met the Scientific Secretary of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), with discussions identifying concrete projects aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in the space sector.
Minister Delles also visited the stands of several Indian space start-ups, including Skyroot, Galaxeye and Bellatrix Aerospace, and spoke with their founders about possible synergies with Luxembourg's space ecosystem.
The day concluded with a networking reception focused on innovation, held in the presence of the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri D. K. Shivakumar. The event brought together around thirty participants to explore new partnership opportunities.
The ministry noted that the working visit helped strengthen Luxembourg's position as a strategic gateway to Europe for Indian companies, while opening up new prospects for Luxembourg stakeholders in the growing Indian market.
At the end of the visit, Minister Delles stated: “This visit helped strengthen economic relations between Luxembourg and India and identify new prospects for cooperation in strategic sectors such as space, innovation and industrial technologies. The meetings organised in New Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore confirmed the dynamism and potential of India, the world’s fifth-largest economy and one of the main drivers of global economic growth. The discussions held over the past few days provide a solid basis for deepening our economic relations.”
