Luxembourg railways (the CFL) have confirmed that, on Tuesday 24 August 2021, the fire alarm went off in part of Luxembourg-Gare.
This alarm went off at around 17:00: as per CFL security procedures, the entire station building was evacuated and train traffic was stopped on tracks 3 and 4. The emergency services were called to the scene.
Traffic gradually resumed at around 17:45; however, cancellations and delays were still to be expected on the rail network.
