On Thursday 28 April 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Digitalisation and the Government IT Centre (Centre des technologies de l'information de l'État - CTIE) announced that the users of the MyGuichet.lu app can make their declaration of change of habitual residence directly from the mobile application, if they move to one of the municipalities that accepts the declaration in electronic form.

A list of 26 municipalites currently accepting the declaration in electronic form is available online via: https://guichet.public.lu/dam-assets/catalogue-pdf/liste-communes-declaration-arrivee-depart-myguichet/liste-communes-declaration-arrivee-depart.pdf

It is now also possible to request a rectification of data from the National Register of Natural Persons (Registre national des personnes physiques - RNPP) via the application.

In addition, app users can store the documents they deem useful for carrying out their administrative procedures in the “My documents” section of the app.

To add a document, users can:

  • take a photo of a document by choosing the “Take a photo” option,
  • add files already saved on your smartphone by choosing the "Local file" option,
  •  generate and store administrative documents (such as the residence certificate, etc.) directly in the MyGuichet.lu app from the “My personal data” section.

The MyGuichet.lu app is available for download from Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Users who have not enabled the automatic app update feature on their phone can update by going to the store from which they downloaded it.

To date, the MyGuichet.lu app has been downloaded more than 220,000 times.
