Luxembourg's THEATER FEDERATIOUN (Theatre Federation) has published a statement in relation to a former administrator of the federation.

The statement in full reads as follows:

"The members of the THEATER FEDERATIOUN were horrified to learn of the child sex crimes of a former administrator of the federation.

Like all members of the various associations who worked with this person, the members of the THEATER FEDERATIOUN are "disappointed, upset, shocked, and astonished" by these revelations. "We have worked and carried out projects together with this person, but before this weekend, we had never received any information, heard any rumours, or even imagined the double life this person led and the numerous illegal acts for which the courts convicted him in the first instance."

Even though the acts alleged against this individual took place exclusively in the private sphere and are in no way related to his role as a director of the federation or to his various activities in the cultural or theatre sector, given their extremely serious nature, expressed without the slightest mitigation or moderation, the Board of Directors of THEATER FEDERATIOUN condemns these acts without qualification or reservation.

THEATER FEDERATIOUN wishes above all to express its solidarity with the victims, whether near or far, direct or indirect. It also emphasizes the need for discreet, respectful, and dignified treatment.

It is important to emphasise that any form of abuse and violence can occur at any time in life, in any situation. It is therefore essential to focus on prevention and remain vigilant".
