The President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, continued his two-day visit to Luxembourg on Wednesday 11 June 2025.

Day 2 of the official visit included a meeting with with the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Claude Wiseler, at the Chamber of Deputies (Luxembourg's parliament) in the capital.

President Mattarella later met with Prime Minister Luc Frieden for an exchange of views at the Hôtel Saint-Maximin (Ministry of State). The discussions focused primarily on major current European issues. Luxembourg's Prime Minister shared on social media that it had been "an honour" to welcome the Italian President during his official visit, adding that: "Italy and Luxembourg share close ties, a deep friendship and a shared commitment to a united, resilient Europe. We agreed to keep working together to address today's challenges based on shared common values".

As part of his visit, the Italian President also had the opportunity to meet with the Italian community residing in the Grand Duchy, in the presence of Grand Duke Henri.
