The Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy Department (SMC) of the Luxembourg Ministry of State has announced the twelve radio stations set to be included in the launch of digital audio broadcasting (DAB+) in the Grand Duchy.

A number of radio stations have been approved for inclusion in Luxembourg’s first national DAB+ multiplex, following an evaluation process and the recommendation of the Independent Luxembourg Audiovisual Authority (ALIA):

  • Crooner Radio;
  • Eldoradio;
  • L’essentiel Radio;
  • LOR’FM; 
  • Nostalgie Luxembourg
  • Opus 100,7;
  • Radio 100,7;
  • Radio ARA;
  • Radio Latina;
  • RTL Deutschlands Hit-Radio;
  • RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg;
  • Today Radio.

The licence for the operation, establishment and management of Luxembourg’s first DAB+ multiplex was granted to Broadcasting Center Europe SA on Tuesday 3 June 2025. Under the terms of the licence, broadcasting is due to begin within six months.

Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Media and Connectivity, Elisabeth Margue, stated: “I welcome the diversity of radio services selected for this first multiplex. The introduction of DAB+ and the arrival of new stations represent a significant step forward for the radio landscape in Luxembourg. This development will help to strengthen media pluralism in our country, with DAB+ deployment expected before the end of the year.”
