The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they arrested individuals in separate incidents in Ettelbruck and Luxembourg City on Thursday 19 June 2025.
At around 15:15 on Thursday, the police received reports of an injured man near Place Marie-Adélaïde in Ettelbruck. A police patrol immediately went to the scene. According to initial information, a physical altercation occurred between two men who knew each other, resulting in one of the men being seriously injured. He was taken to hospital after receiving first aid on the scene. The suspect was temporarily detained due to his intoxicated state. The public prosecutor's office was informed of the incident and ordered the suspect's arrest. He was brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Friday 20 June 2025.
Also on Thursday afternoon, the police received reports of a man making death threats against his ex-wife and one of his children in Luxembourg City. During the investigation, the man was later located at his home address. He was arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office and brought before an investigating judge on Friday morning.
