The Grand Ducal Police have reported that three suspects were apprehended after a brawl in Grevenmacher on the evening of Thursday 6 March 2026.
According to the police, at approximately 20:50 on Thursday a fight involving several individuals was reported in Sous l’Arc in Grevenmacher. When police officers arrived, all those involved had already fled.
A short time later, one person was located in Rue de Luxembourg in Grevenmacher. It was established that the individual had sustained a cut to the back. An ambulance transported the person to hospital. However, according to initial information, the victim is not in a life-threatening condition.
Based on witness descriptions, a search for the suspects was launched, during which a police helicopter was also deployed. In total, three alleged suspects were apprehended by the police and taken to the police station in order to carry out further official procedures.
At the scene, all traces, including a knife in particular, were secured by the police and seized on the order of the public prosecutor. During the course of the procedures, a juvenile was taken, on the instruction of the public prosecutor, to the State Socio-Educational Centre (Centre socio-éducatif de l'État - CSEE), in Dreiborn.
The investigation to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident is continuing.
