On Wednesday 11 March 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that two arrests were made following two incidents of theft which occurred on Tuesday 10 March in Luxembourg-Gare.

According to the initial information, on Wednesday morning the police were informed of a shoplifting incident on Rue du Fort Neipperg, where the suspected offender had attempted to steal headphones. He was immediately apprehended by security personnel. A police patrol attended the scene and the stolen items were secured. On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was arrested and presented before an examining magistrate.

On Wednesday evening, a burglary at a shop on Rue Jean Origer was reported to the police. According to the initial information, two men had stolen several bottles of alcohol. A police patrol was able to apprehend one of the suspects shortly afterwards. The stolen goods and a screwdriver were recovered. On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the man was arrested and presented before an examining magistrate.
