On Thursday 2 April 2026, the Grand Ducal Police conducted a large-scale operation in the capital's train station district (Luxembourg-Gare), focusing on drug and immigration laws.

Police officers observed a transaction between several individuals which they suspected involved drugs. They subsequently searched several suspected buyers. The officers seized drugs from three individuals and filed reports. The suspected drug dealer was also apprehended; among the items confiscated were pepper spray, cash and a mobile phone. On the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the man was arrested and due to be brought before an investigating judge on Friday afternoon.

Officers also issued four "Fremdennotiz" reports (relating to immigration).

Separately, on Thursday morning at around 10:00, police received a report that a man at an accommodation facility in Mondercange had threatened a staff member with physical violence and made death threats. A police patrol located the suspect shortly afterwards. He was uncooperative and taken to the police station for further processing, during which he made additional death threats. On the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office, he was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Friday morning.
