On Thursday 7 May 2026, the Grand Ducal Police carried out a traffic control operation focusing e-scooters and other forms of sustainable mobility.
Checks took place on Rue G-D Charlotte, Rue de l’Abattoir and Route de Luxembourg in Dudelange, as well as near Parc Jacquinot and the main railway station in Bettembourg.
The police checked a total of 21 people, seven of whom received penalties for breaches of the Highway Code. In six cases, the owners voluntarily surrendered their means of transport. In one case, the officers confiscated the vehicle on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office.
