On Friday 19 June 2026, POST Luxembourg announced it will mark National Day 2026 with the issue of the first Luxembourg stamp produced using 3D printing technology.
According to POST, the stamp is a special edition of the philatelic souvenir sheet from the standard series dedicated to Grand Duke Guillaume.
The original design of the souvenir sheet, combining a detail of the Grand Ducal Palace with the portrait and monogram of the Grand Duke, has been reinterpreted to offer a unique collecting experience.
POST said that thanks to innovative technology based on the application of a liquid photopolymer, deposited layer-by-layer in the form of extremely fine droplets, the monogram is created in relief. The final result is flexible, with a soft surface that is pleasant to the touch.
Limited to 1,000 copies, the 3D-printed philatelic souvenir sheet will be sold at a price of €30 and presented in packaging specially designed for the occasion.
It will be available from Monday 22 June at the Philatelic Counter at Espace POST Luxembourg-Gare and via the e-shop at www.postphilately.lu.
