The Grand Ducal Police have reported that across the evening of Friday 19 June through to the early hours of Saturday 20 June 2026, it recorded approximately 50 cases of fights, disputes, public disturbances and public nuisance.

According to the police, in most cases, the situation had already calmed down upon the arrival of police patrols or could still be resolved on site.

However, on the evening of Friday 19 June, a man with injuries was reported on Rue de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie. A police patrol found the heavily intoxicated man at the scene. According to initial information, a fight had previously taken place between him and other individuals. However, the man refused medical assistance, harassed passers-by and behaved in an uncooperative manner towards officers.

Due to his intoxicated state and because he was disturbing public order, he was subsequently taken into custody following a medical examination.

During Friday evening, the police were also informed of a robbery near Rue Sigefroi in the Upper Town. According to initial information, the perpetrator grabbed the victim by the shoulder and tore the necklace from his neck, and in the early hours of Saturday, a robbery was reported on Boulevard Royal in Luxembourg-Ville, in which, according to initial information, a man approached the victim, became physically aggressive towards him, and stole his watch and necklace.

In both cases, investigations were initiated.
