On Sunday 12 July 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported four arrests following separate theft and drug-related incidents across Luxembourg.

Police said the first arrest followed the theft of property from a restaurant in Luxembourg-Ville on Saturday 11 July 2026 evening. A witness followed the suspected thief until officers located the man on Avenue Monterey. During the investigation, police established that the suspect was wanted by the Belgian authorities. On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, he was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Sunday morning.

Later that evening, officers on foot patrol in Avenue Nicolas Kreins in Wiltz encountered two individuals who appeared to be smoking a cannabis joint. During a subsequent search, police discovered approximately 300 grams of hashish on one of the individuals. On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the man was arrested. The drugs and both individuals' mobile phones were seized as part of the investigation.

Police also arrested two suspected shoplifters after they were reported at a shopping centre in Wemperhardt on Saturday afternoon. According to the police, the two men had stolen mainly clothing from two different shops before being stopped by security staff. On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, both suspects were arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Sunday morning.

In a separate case, police arrested a suspect after a car was stolen in Luxembourg-Gare on Saturday morning. The stolen vehicle was found later the same day in Rue de Hollerich, and the investigation led to the suspect's arrest. On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the individual was brought before an investigating judge on Saturday afternoon.
