On Thursday 12 June 2025, service station operator TotalEnergies Luxembourg announced the opening of a new fast-charging site for electric vehicles (EVs) in Marnach.
According to TotalEnergies, the Marnach location is situated on one of the most important road axes in northern Luxembourg and represents a concrete response to the growing need for fast-charging infrastructure.
The electric vehicle charging hub, located at the Nordstrooss Shopping Mile in Marnach, includes a total of 26 charging points, spread across two sites:
- Block A (Located next to Cactus): four 400kW ultra-fast charging points and ten 22kW charging points;
- Block B (Located next to Naturata): four 400kW ultra-fast charging points and eight 22kW charging points.
TotalEnergies reported that this provided optimal accessibility for residents, passersby and customers of the shopping complex.
The inauguration event took place in the presence of Mayor of Clervaux, Georges Keipes, who said: "This new charging hub in Marnach is a vital step forward for our residents and visitors. It will facilitate the transition to more environmentally friendly mobility, while strengthening the attractiveness of our municipality."
The project was carried out with support from Luxembourg’s scheme for companies investing in electric car charging infrastructure which have a power equal to or greater than 175 kW.
Director of TotalEnergies Luxembourg, Anthony Siperius, said: "We are convinced that this project, along with the three new projects planned for this year, will meet the expectations of Luxembourg users and its many cross-border commuters and will actively contribute to the electrification of the Luxembourg vehicle fleet.”
