(Reuters) - Russia launched a record 728 drones against Ukraine and thirteen missiles, Ukraine's air force said on Wednesday 9 July 2025.
Ukrainian air defence systems destroyed 718 of the drones and seven missiles, the air force said on the Telegram messaging app.
Additional information: Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that Russia's largest drone attack overnight on Ukraine showed the need for "biting" sanctions on Russia and secondary punitive measures against Russian oil.
