
On Thursday 26 June 2025, Luxembourg's Minister of Justice, Elisabeth Margue, swore in the President and Vice-Presidents of the National Council for the Judiciary (Conseil National de la Justice - CNJ).
As reported by Luxembourg's Ministry of Justice, Alain Thorn, elected by the College of Magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice, has been appointed President.
John Petry, elected by the College of Magistrates of the Public Prosecutor's Office, and Jean-Jacques Rommes, appointed by the Chamber of Deputies (Luxembourg's parliament), have both been appointed Vice-Presidents.
Their terms of office will begin on Tuesday 1 July 2025 and will run until 30 June 2027.
