PwC Legal Luxembourg has announced that the firm is transitioning out of the PwC global Network, as a fully independent law firm in Luxembourg, under a new name: Stellan Partners.
This change, effective Tuesday 1 July 2025, reportedly "marks a significant step in the firm's ongoing commitment to offering the highest standard of legal services and continuously adapting to best serve clients' needs".
While the firm's name and network affiliation are changing, Stellan Partners has assured it will "retain the same dedicated team, core values and comprehensive legal services that have established it as a full-service, renowned firm within Luxembourg’s legal landscape".
Moreover, Stellan Partners "provides the same strategic, solution-oriented legal advice and assistance across a wide range of sectors". The core areas of expertise remain the same: Alternative Funds & Investor Services; Banking, Finance & Capital Markets; Corporate, M&A, Restructuring; New Technologies, Data & IP; Employment Law; Private Equity; Real Estate.
"Building on the strong success we achieved within the PwC Network, this transition empowers us with utmost flexibility, agility, and focus, to address the evolving challenges faced by our clients," said Catherine Baflast, the Managing Partner of Stellan Partners. "Though no longer part of the PwC global network, our international reach remains strong through a well-established network of 'best friends' with whom we have trusted relationships worldwide."
As part of this new chapter, the firm announced the appointment of Wim Ritz as Head of the Alternative Funds & Investor Services team: "Wim brings deep industry expertise, strategic insight and extensive leadership experience, further enhancing Stellan Partners' offerings in this key sector".
The firm assured that this new positioning will come with "seamless continuity of scope and high-quality of service".
